Enterprises should scrutinise rules to take advantage of the free trade
agreement (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Viet
Nam, industry and trade officials said during a conference in Ha Noi
yesterday.
Import tax on 4,959 types of goods from the Eurasian Economic Union
(EAEU) countries will be reduced to zero immediately when the free trade
agreement (FTA) between Viet Nam and the takes effect this year.
Investors from mainland China have been developing their businesses in
Viet Nam to take advantage of free trade agreements (FTAs), as the
country is a Trans-Pacific Partnership member.
Domestic exporters have missed many business opportunities in Russia
because of lack of market information, payment difficulties and high
shipping fees, experts have said.
Vietnamese companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises,
need to use e-commerce more to strengthen their competitiveness in
foreign trade, Le Dang Doanh, an economist and former member of the
Government Advisory Council, has said.
Business confidence, outlook and expectations for the future among
European businesses in Viet Nam have climbed moderately from the
previous quarter, the quarterly EuroCham Business Climate Index survey
for December 2014 has found.
